Midi Health -Menopause Art History
Venus De Milo
Pacing & Motion Language: Established a consistent system for camera movement to maintain a dynamic, scroll-native rhythm. Deviations were used selectively to punctuate key moments
Typography & Graphic System: Developed a cohesive motion language across captions, header graphics and hand-drawn elements. The CC had to feel native to socials, while the brief called for a low-fi feel on additional animated elements.
Legibility & Design Adaptation: Identified contrast issues in highlight colors and introduced a subtle shadow treatment to improve legibility - an adjustment later adopted by the design team
Lo-fi Motion Treatment: Translated a low-fi visual direction into a structured and repeatable After Effects system. I defined line + sticker treatment with a subtle “boil” and lower frame rate to preserve an organic feel.
VO Timing & Sound: Refined voiceover pacing and added lightweight sound design to establish cadence and reinforce key beats
Midi Health set out to create a social-first video about menopause symptoms that felt culturally relevant and cheeky, reinforcing a playful brand tone.
Using Venus De Milo as a visual anchor, the piece reframes menopause through a familiar cultural lens, balancing humor and education in a format native to the feed.
Brought on by the design team, I supported concept driven content and helped extend the brand into motion for the first time.
